| Description of Species | An erect shrub,up to 2 m tall, much branched. Leaves with hairy petiole. Leaf- lamina elliptic-oblong to lanceolate, hairy both surfaces, attenuate at the base, entire, apically acute-acuminate. Flowers purple blue or pink or white, in short, 1-5-flowered, axillary or terminal spikes. Calyx deeply 4-cleft, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, bristly toothed on margins, hairy or glabrescent. Corolla glandular-pubescent outside, tube long, infundibuliform, limb with oblong-obovate, unequal lobes. Filaments hairy, anthers oblong, Ovary oblong-conical, mm long. Fruit a capsule ellipsoid, glabrous, pointed at the base and apex, 4-seeded.
