Description of Species Climber, base often woody, tendrils simple. Leaves broadly ovate –reniform, entire or 3 – 5 lobed, dentate – serrate, cordate at base, rough – hairy above. Flowers yellow; male flowers in fascicles; females 1 – 3 together; pedicel short. Calyx tube short, villous; lobes subulate. Corolla yellow, segments ovate – rounded. Style short with annular disc at the base; stigma 3 – lobed. Fruits small, ovoid – globose, green with white longitudinal bands, red on ripening, 1 – 4 seeded; seeds flaccid, smooth.
