Description of Species Deciduous trees,up to 30 m high. Bark dark, deeply cracked, young parts rusty tomentose. Leaves sub opposite or upper ones alternate, oblong or elliptic ovate or ovate – oblong, glabrescent above, pubescent beneath, entire or serrulate, obtuse or shortly pointed; petioles short, with 2 glands at the base. Flowers dull yellow, in erect, axillary or terminal, densely pubescent spikes. Calyx lobes ovate, acute, hairy inside. Fruits a drupe, dry, coriaceous, with 5 wings. Leaf Details Leaves sub opposite or upper ones alternate, oblong or elliptic ovate or ovate – oblong, glabrescent above, pubescent beneath, entire or serrulate, obtuse or shortly pointed; petioles short, with 2 glands at the base.
