Description of Species Large or small tree frequently with aerial roots which never develop into trunks; branchlets tomentose. Leaves very variable, elliptical, elliptic-oblong,oblong, ovate or somewhat obovate, entire or sinuate, acute, obtuse or subobtuse, glabrose above, persistently tomentose and predominantly veined beneath, with a longitudinal gland with depressed centre (when fresh) situated at the base of the midrib or at the junction of several principal nerves beneath, base cordate or rounded.
