Description of Species Glabrous, destrorse climbers, often attaining to 4 m high and with large roundish tuber. Leaves orbicular or ovate, glabrous , 5 – nerved; petiole 5- 25 cm across, glabrous, 5 – nerved. Male flowers greenish – yellow, in axillary umbellate cymes; bracts and bracteoles linear or lanceolate; sepals 6; outer ones narrow – oblong; inner ones obovate. Petals 3, oblong with a pair of glandular scale at the base. Female flowers greenish – yellow; perianth as in male; ovary oblong – ovoid; style short; stigma 4 – 5 cleft.
