Description of Species Erect or diffuse undershrub. Leaves ovate to oblong-ovate, serrate, the lowest serratures on each side often produced into very slender, solitary tails, acute, pubescent, 3-nerved; petiole 1-25 cm. Flowers yellow, axillary, solitary or paired. Sepals lanceolate, 3 mm long, broad at apex, mucronate, glabrous, rarely sparsely hairy. Petals about as long as the sepals, spathulate. Filaments free, 2-3 mm long. Capsule 1.2-2.5 cm long, 6-angled, of which 3 angles alate or subulate, apex with 3-(4), suberect or spreading horned beaks.
