Description of Species Perennial, armed, cactus like shrubs; stem with fleshy pith, branches in whorls, 5-7 angled, ridges with stipular spines. Leaves few, sessile, alternate, spathulate, green, fleshy, 4-10 cm long, caduceus. Involucres hemispheric, ca 1.2 cm across, greenish-yellow, sessile, arrangead in axillary cymes; lobes 4, spathulate, fringed. Capsules trigonous, glabrous, stalked. Leaf Details Leaves few, sessile, alternate, spathulate, green, fleshy, 4-10 cm long, caduceus.
