Description of Species Deciduous trees or shrubs, with grey corky bark, to 8 m high. Leaves elliptic, 7-14 x 3.5-7 cm, shortly caudate-acuminate, membranous, tomentose on both sides. Flowers pale-yellow to white, in erect, terminal, corymbose cymes. Calyx short. Corolla pale-yellow. Anthers sagittate. Ovary of 2-connate carpels. Follicles 2, connate, 10-25 x 1.3-2 cm, grooved at the junction of carpels, straight, rough, with white specks; seeds numerous, with a tuft of white silky-hairs. Leaf Details Leaves elliptic, 7-14 x 3.5-7 cm, shortly caudate-acuminate, membranous, tomentose on both sides.
