Description of Species Robust, stout, acaulescent shrubs. Leaves crowded in the basal part, thick, flat, 0.6-2 m long, oblong-lanceolate, margins with upwardly directed spines. Flowering stem stout, up to 5 m high, covered with scales. Tepals oblong-lanceolate. Fruit a capsule, ovoid, dehiscent; bulbils present. Leaf Details Leaves crowded in the basal part, thick, flat, oblong-lanceolate, margins with upwardly directed spines.
